It started as a mid-life crisis due to divorce (I'm over that). I got into a lease of an A6 silver quartro. That was fine for 39 months. But the problem was that my tolerance for speed began to build up. I needed more and more. Then I began imagining what other intoxicating Audi's were out there. TT's were cool, but I was to tall. Again and again I would return to dealerships looking for the next fix. An A8 was looking good. The feel of the supple leather as I caressed the steering wheel and then as my foot hit the pedal... ah the relief was almost immediate! Kept driving it and doing more research looking for ultimate RUSH! Finally I hit bottom and began to hear about something that was only mentioned in hushed tones amoung real Audi afficianado's. They spoke of it's cool refreshing power. Understated but with a low toned rumble that really hit you in your GUT! I was hooked already. I had to have it. Frantically I searched for it. Dealers (what an appropriate name!) told me it was only made in one small batch. 'Try this here S4. It will tide you over.' After much watching and lurking, EBAY supplied a lead to a previous owner of a mod'ed RS6. Black with OC.T chip and Milltek pipes. As soon as I took my first ride, I had to have it. Now 9 months later I know I'll never be able to give it up!
Well to make a long story short, I'm joining the RS6 forum to get help from others who 'suffer' from this painful (at least in the pocket book) addiction.
