If the guy took his limiter off, he's probably also chipped at a minimum, which puts hp at around 5125 to 518 with ONLY the chip..no way an M3 beats any Beast with ANY mods to the engine (unless the driver sucks or was afraid of darkness...they did shoot this at night, which is stupidity in the first place)... fully loaded mods get the crank up to (reportedly) 550+ -- that's racing specs my friend, despite the fact that the Beast is a "pig")...I dont think the vid you have posted is of the RS6 the M3 supposedly killed...nice try...makes for good propaganda...

OK...onto the soapbox...first, the whole M3 v. RS6 comparison is BS IMO...stock to stock, the M3 will get beat...not totally stomped on, but will lose unless the RS6 driver is a retard...I hear all this crap about "beat him from a roll"...who gives a ****...last time I checked, you get a ticket for a california/rolling stop...so "stopping" is a requirement in driving last time I checked, which also means that accelerating from a stop is a common practice unless I guess, you drive a Beemer...the corollary to this is the ol'
"take away the quattro advantage by racing from a rolling takeoff" ...???...that's the all wheel drive ADVANTAGE..take it away??...that's like saying to basketball players "go out and play ball but dont use height to your advantage" it IS the Audi advantage..its BUILT INTO the technology of the CAR and is part of its practicality and of course, performace allure...if you dont like it, here's the equalizer...take your wallet out and buy an Audi...since we're on the subject of racing, let's have these road races during the winter time too...and at night...yeah, that's the ticket..what? no takers?...too busy riding the subway and the bus b/c your car is worth **** in the East Coast & Midwest weather?...here's a token buddy...better leave early though, the trains are totally unreliable during bad weather... ;P nuff said!!!

peace out!!

posting how great his M3 is. 343BHP is his username. Apparently he has been all over the internet spreading the greatness of his car. In fact he is back now on the S4 boards posting data that the M3 is faster then the RS6 at high speeds.

yeah, yeah... it was late and i was in an "evil" mood last night...i checked out the post..funny how he shows the rs6 from the cockpit of the "losing" car, but doesnt (or won't) show comps from inside his M3, nor the actual race...HHHMMmmmmmm...FOS...i also find it unusual that most of these M3 beatdowns take place at night...take it to a track/airport runway during the day...sounds like he's got a few goodies under the hood...that's great!! we all love our cars, good for him/her if they can spend a few extra bucks to add performance..if I didnt have to worry about possibily losing warranty coverage, I'd go full hilt with mods..that aside, the car is plenty fast for most on the planet stock...have him run against someone that has chipped, added hyperboost, highflow cats and exhaust and we'll see what happens next...bring video camera, diapers and some wipes...he wont be able to sit down for a month...thanks for sharing the post...have a good one!!!

;P

"the other evil twin"...skippy

But it ran pretty well when stock. 13.0 @ 108 actually, bone stock. Now it's a bit faster with bolt-ons.

Good to know I can use yours as a measuring stick. Thanks for the useful information.

PLEASE NOTE: If anyone has a problem with these times, then take it up with Sport Auto or the relevant magazine. I amjust using the info to prove my point. There's no need to get upset with me as I wasn't involved in these tests.

RS6 Sedan times (regular US 450HP):

0 - 200 km/h 17,6 s

OK, so 0-200km/h (124mph) we have a few cars to get sample times from. I get:

18.7 RS6 sedan
17.8 RS6 (480HP)
18.0 RS6 (480HP)
17.6 RS6 (500HP)

That's an average of 18.025 secs for the 0-124 mph sprint (from a stop) for the RS6's....one of them identical in HP to the US RS6's, two of them with 30 more HP than the US RS6's, and one of them with 50 more HP than the US RS6's!

Here are some M3's tested by the same mags at the same place, etc:

0 - 200 km/h 18,6 s

16.8
17.6
17.9
18.6

Avg = 17.725 seconds.

So on average, stock M3's are faster 0-124 from a stop than RS6's & RS6 +'s.

-Average stock M3, 0-124 mph: 17.725
-Average RS6, 0-124 mph (3 of the cars making 480 or more hp): 18.025

A difference of 0.3 seconds in favor of the M3.

*Now...to break it down even more, here are the times from 100 - 200 kph (62-124 mph) for both cars. This will show which car pulls harder at speed (from a roll):

RS6's:
13.8
12.9
13.4
12.9

Average RS6, 62-124 mph (100-20kph): 13.25 seconds

M3's:
12.0
12.8
12.9
13.4

Average M3, 62-124 mph (100-200 kph): 12.775 seconds

A difference of 0.475 seconds.

First..love your car!! nice lines, all that ****...like Davey, I've beaten "stock" M3'S ON SPRINTS and haven't lost yet...mind you, this is also done from rolls too, as I am normally taunted on the highway, so I don't have my "quattro advantage" in these cases...what I do have is pulling power to "normal" speed levels

...if you look at your tables, the RS6 will beat you "on average" in every quarter mile race you have, you lose sir...where r u racing (at night no less...not smart) where you can do 150+ mph and have enough road to actually catch up and beat the RS? Where r u located?? Saw your video BTW, good kill, but IMO, your RS driver needs to learn how to use the tip/shift correctly and how step on the pedal correctly (the one on the right...) on the other hand, wasn't there, so I can't realy comment objectively

...also, your "averaging" technique is a function of math and not "reality"...distance traveled and the speed associated with that distance is a linear function...that is, you need to do the first qtr mile before you do the next, etc...so you can't claim a higher "average" speed "beats" the lower average in a "normal race"...especially in stop light racing which is what it looks like you are basing your prowess on...here's the visual...you (M3) get taken off the line immediately (the "quattro advantage"...gotta love it b/c the Beast does not break rubber) you then continue to lose until you reach around 100-120 mph where your car will start to catch up (you've run out of qtr mile)...at this point I won't give you that much of a handicap...did the math using your numbers and you are <0.175> not bad, but still behind...you then need to keep running for a good qtr mile or so to catch up and beat the stock RS to your <0.45> deficit...when you finally get to a car length ahead and r raising your arms in victory, both you and the RS hit the sand pit at the end of the track and immediately go from 150 to 0, so your claim to fame was brief and pointless, since at that point, you've totalled your baby and are catching the bus to get groceries

...last time I checked, tracks have these things called "turns"...sometimes they have mulitple turns...and (oh, goody!!)they go both left and right...the winner's circle is occupied by drivers that know how to brake into turns and exit correctly...why? b/c stomping on straightaways is the easy part, that's not the key to winning...I believe a couple of the S4 boarders showed the BMW was placed 26th or something like that in a professional race, with (of course) the quattro team up top...mind you, this is also a function of the driver as many of the drivers are ho's and move from team to team

...finally, your car and all rear wheeled vehicles for the most part are useless for half the year in certain locales...maybe we can race at night in the snow sometime??? ;P have a good one...

peace...

especially fron a stop.

And as fir turns, M3 does rather well thanks for asking. Is much quicker than an S4 at most tracks. I can post Hockenheim & ring times if you want.

I live in Africa so we have no problem with snow, or else I may well have bought another car, but once again thanks for your concern.
