Saw an RS6 I've seen around a few times (driven "Driving Miss Daisy" style as always before) and was noticing how "skinny" the 255's looked with that fat flared rear end of the RS6. Who's done better?

and look for images of JP4's RS6. Those are 265/35/18's. Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you some with 275/35/18's too.

Link to the RS6.com picture gallery

She turned 2 years old July 10th.
Look how clean that engine bay is, even after 26K miles.

Once every 2 weeks or so, when I do the car clean, I just use the garden hose and spray water right into the engine bay. Do it for about 10 minutes...but the spray is not like at your local car wash...not as strong. Good enough pressure though. I don't use any of the degreaser type products. I'd rather do just plain water. Remove the front CF trim to allow more access. Than put it back on and spray some more.
Now when I need to get work done, or the dealer, their paws won't be as greasy, and mess up the rest of the car.

PS1: please let the engine cool off too. It can get pretty smokey if you apply water to a hot engine bay.
PS2: my wash bay has cold and hot water. So I mix it up to be relatively warm to help remove the grease that gets accumulated. So out of the nozzle, comes out nice and warm. Also a plus for Winter washing.

But when you come to town, I'll give you the other cheek to apply the pressure.

Under load, they seem to tuck in, as you can see in the pix when the car is tied down.

295 is too wide. Next set will be 285.

The silly suspension won't allow me to go too wide up front without getting spacers to push the wheels out or something. I'd rather not use spacers.

The rims are suppose to be done "end of July" and I was hoping to squeak in Gingerman again 8/1. Hope it all comes together in time.

If you search this forum, you will find all sorts of answers. I've had staggered before on a Quattro system, and it is fine, if you stay within the restrictions.

Here's a list of issues:

1. The rolling diameter of the wheel and tire have to be identical or within 3% of each other, to make sure you don't damage the Quattro system. There is an equation to calculate this, even before you buy wheels and tires.

2. Wider rear tires make it for worse understeer. The car already understeers, thus going wider is even worse. But I don't track the car, and I don't push it enough around corners on a daily driver to even see this being an issue.

3. Doesn't the 911 C4S use the same Quattro system? I'm not sure about this, but if so, the wheels on a C4S are staggered.

I guess in conclusion it all depends on what your setup is. It can be bad if you don't abide by the rules, or just fine if you stay within them.
