Moderators, I realize you don't want For Sale notices posted here. Your Classifieds are for that, and I have endorsed them in many posts after selling two Audis thru your Marketplace.

But can't we at least have a discussion of prices? One such thread was underway for a few days here but now seems to be gone. I don't recall its title but a Northern Californa member was inquiring about selling his car, how much he might get, etc. Last time I saw the thread, there were at least 6-8 posts but none had a vehicle for sale.

I did post a URL leading to a national car sales web site which showed several RS6s for sale. Maybe moderators construed that as posting an ad that wasn't paid for. Is that the case? If so, I could understand deleting my post, but not the entire thread.

Please clarify. Seems like we should be able to discuss pricing trends. If you don't want URLs leading to cars for sale, then I presume you also will be deleting links to ebay -- right? In any case your clarification of what is allowed, and what isn't, would be appreciated.

if it's in regards to my posting about my car for sale, I am the one who deleted it, not the moderators.

I had done so as I was trying to post a FS ad on teh classifieds section but can't for some reason.

I do delete clear for sale ads, or posts to e-bay ads that look like they may be posted by the owner. If it is a "hey look at this crazy ad" i let it go. A discussion on price is fine also- I didn't delete it- as long as it isn't "How much will you pay for my car..."
