without getting bored for a second. It's fun in the sun - and y'day (as always) it handled like a stud in 5 inches of slushy crap here on LI (Dunlop M3's). Am I fooling myself? Do others of you feel this way?

how well it works after we use it this weekend. But if you don't get them too dirty...P21 wheel cleaner works pretty well....dirty wheels are a big no no with me........this car gets them dirty pretty easy..and I am not a brake user..yikes..

...Everyday, once you are done with the car, just quickly wipe the excess brake dust with a soft paper towel. If you do this everyday, you won't have to clean them as often, and they usually will look nice for longer periods of time. That is what I do.

usually I'm into something new and different after 2 - 3 years ....and that's usually after I've been looking for awhile...though I do worry about the tranny because I drive it hard...

I still love the car.

(I could be tempted by a Mercedes CLS, but other than that... )

You must have some nice driving down there!! did a drive for work to VA from CT in my old 2002 a4 3.0 (first Audi luv) -- did it during winter, so the views werent the greatest with everything dead and all....but the roads....fantastic!!!..lots of open road..looking forward to repeating the drive with my beast and some springtime foliage....

I've had multi-week downtime on several occasions. And on those occasions, I start looking around and test driving and checking car mags, and guess what? Two model years later there is nothing else in production, or even on the horizon, that combines 450 hp with AWD in a four door mid-sized sedan.

The only thing to compare is the forthcoming RS4, which will be awesome and probably a better track car. That's the advantage of it being smaller, tho the flip side is a little less room. I'm reserving judgment on panache until I see it. Right now the RS6 is King of the Road and Panache in my book.

If it breaks again in a way that causes more lengthy downtime, well, I'll deal with that then. But at 34K it has never quit and seems to be running better than ever, so there's hope! I certainly have no plans to give it up now.

EDIT: In the article I added below, Autoweek notes AWD's emergence from niche market to expected huge growth, with a salute to Audi owners at the end.

http://autoweek.com/article.cms?articleId=101853</a
