What's amusing (and a tad fishy to me anyway) is this dealer saying the demand for this vehicle has been so overwhelming that he's now listing it on eBay. Okay, then, why start the bidding at the "Buy-it-Now" price of $67,900? Seems if it was THAT hot, you'd want to see how high is up, no? And then the guy uses the new "Best Offer" feature so he can get bids BELOW his Buy-it-Now price. WTF?

eBay RS6

These e-bay RS6's are all pretty low miles.

I have nearly 22K on mine....

Round trips from MI to CA, MI to NYC, MI to IN & OH,, and seasonal MI-FL in fall, FL-MI in spring. Plus I just love this car and drive it every chance I get!

Am I concerned about high mileage at resale time? Not too much, since I take very good care of it & can document its mostly highway miles. Driver's seat is the only part showing wear; no nicks or scratches, thanks to 3M protection from day one (Aug 03). Seldom driven hard, tho I've hit triple digits a few times. Never tracked. Looks better at 34K miles than some cars at 3.4K. Still has new car & leather scent, especially after sitting in the garage for a while.

Are you suggesting to watch for rolled back oddometers since most were leased vehicles?

Just commenting on how low some of the mileage is on some of the cars that have been posted for sale.

Just seems kind of odd, but then living in CA one tends to spend a lot of time and miles in their cars...

I have noticed the same trend and I was curious about this also.

I only have 7K mile on mine, but I didn't buy it until the end of May, 2004 and haven't driven it much this winter because I decided not to put snow tires on this season when the M3's sold out.

If I had purchased it early in 2003, I'm sure I would be around 25K now. Also, I think that quite a few people don't use the RS6 as their daily driver. I know I worry about mine and probably don't drive it as often as I did my S4.

It seems like many of the cars you see up for sale were purchased sometime in 2004, when the dealers started to move their remaining stock and Audi was offering the trunk money. Maybe it is just that the people that actually drive their RS6's on a regular basis are not selling them.

RS6 they have is sold. It was still inside the showroom and looked like it was brand new. Think it sold for $64,900.
