I found a new problem this morning in the form of an oil puddle when I backed the RS6 out to take it to the dealer for a minor fix. Since it was going in for service, I had the dealer take a look. The culprit is a leaking valvecover gasket. Anyone had this problem before, or is this the first reported? Car now has 14K miles on it and was serviced at 8,800 miles (Audi certification inspection at the time I purchased it). It certainly hasn't been driven hard (mainly city driving...not much call for boost). It is a daily driver, but I just noticed the leak. I have no idea how long it may have been leaking. Anyway, I just wanted everyone to be aware.

culprit usually shows up as the little back-up battery for the On-Star which often dies, for mysterious reasons. The problem is complex - you can't just change the battery, like you would a watch battery - the dealer must do it (located under passenger footwell), and the On-Star has to be re-set with On-Star by a tech. Do a search here and at RS6.com for TONS of theories as to why the battery dies.
