The A8 has a molded piece that incorporates the US plate size with a plastic extension that covers the euro cutout. Recently I went to an Audi parts counter and looked at this part as a possible answer to the horrid US plate mount Audi supplies. I placed it on my RS6 where the euro plate goes in front and it fits the cutout.. sort of. There are 2 clips on the back that are suppoosed to fit into 2 slots cut in to the a8 front bumper.. sort of a snap on deal.. Since we dont want to punch holes ointo the RS6 bumper it looks like it might be possible to do some filing and sanding to customize this part to fit. I think i'm going to buy one of these parts and see if I can make it a perfect fit as well as trying to come up with an attachment method other than holes. ( glue maybe?) If any of you who are good with this kinda stuff get a chance to look at this A8 part, see what you think. I'll let you know if I hit it big..(unfortunately, here in SoCal you are required to have a front plate..)
