ok, it is like this...it is directly related to the pressure of your foot....BUT...on the highway I got almost 20 mpg...18 in town...also expect your mileage to increase as it gets broke in. That was with 50 miles on the car....so it is far from being broke in. With my prior Audi's they always picked up 3-4 miles per gallon after a year or so.

I should have been clearer...I drive a RS6..not a S4...

You aren't worried about gas mileage! :-)

In normal driving I get between 300-325 per tank.

I have 600 miles on my RS6 and my avg. mpg is 16.0, my B6 S4 is was only getting about 17. Go for the RS you wont regret it!!

This morning's trip averaged 20.8 MPG. I drove
55 miles in the dark(lights on, stereo on, driver's side seat heater on #4). The car has
950 miles. The trip cpu was reset before I left
with the driving style best described as spirited
highway driving; 60-74MPH with some higher pulls.
Daytime/Summer mileage should improve.
I bought the RS6 strictly on it's performance
numbers, mileage was not a concern. Give the
RS6 a gallon of gas and It will produce 450
horses for you! That's my perspective.

I philosophically want to spend money as frugally as possible , Perhaps that's why self indulgent purchases that make me smile are possible.
Buying gas does not.

I just came back from getting a tank of gas and did stop at Taco Bell...so what does that say? I'm easy to please? Paid $1.68 for Chevron ..it was 93 octane..I live in the South...gas is cheap here..

One can afford a NSX or a 911 but doesn't mean that it will suck gas. a friends 911 averaged 25mph to Vegas from LA

Erick, I don't do McD's..but hey, I was in a hurry and Taco Bell was handy....a quick taco and it let me back in my car quicker. Actually my husband was pressed for time. I don't think here in the US that we will see $3/gal.

Hope this is not the case. Either way I'll have
to dust off my Honda Civic and do my part for the environment.
