I don't know if this is as HOT as I think it is...but I was just informed by the owner of my dealership that there will be 86 [ grand total ] of these beauties available and they should be here April/May. MSRP ....you ask....??? $109M Canadian $$$$. Line up starts here !!

Pity those greedy AoA bastards for pricing the RS6 in the US at $80K-$85K (in US $ of course). Kudos to Audi of Canada for knowing what the RS6 really should cost!

Or, perhaps the C5 RS6's excessive pricing is because of the totally unnecessary C5 S6 which, for what it costs, is little more than an A6 4.2 with a scarce few cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. Without a wimpy ass C6 S6, the C6 RS6 (due out 12-18 months after the C6 A6) should be priced much more competitively against the E60 M5, E63/E64 M6, W211 E55 AMG and W??? CLS55 AMG.

After the B6 S4, no more S models from Audi. Other than the B6 RS4, Audi's future RS models will be a regular part of the Audi lineup with all of the benefits and none of the drawbacks of the current or past RS models. Plus, with no S models after the B6 S4, Audi's future RS models will be priced much more competitively against comparable M and AMG models from BMW and Mercedes Benz. According to a member (or ex-member) of AudiWorld on the B6 S4 forum named Energetics, this was all confirmed in March of last year at the 2003 Geneva Auto Show in Geneva, Switzerland by Dr. Martin Winterkorn (head of Audi AG) himself. Also, for what it's worth, in addition to the usual sedan and avant bodystyles, the C6 A6/RS6 will also be available (for the first time ever) in coupe and cabriolet bodystyles.
