...three Daytona gray, one Avus silver (which is actually on the showroom floor, not the lot).
A third of a million dollars in inventory tied up in just these four cars. And at least one of them has been there for two months.
Dealer-guy told me they had sold ten RS6s so far.
(Also had a used '04 A8L...bargain priced at $75,000+. Good luck.)

Parktown Imports, here in St. Louis has a Daytona Grey(used) since begin of Sept that they want $89,900 for! My Misano Red(that I couldn't afford!) for about two months now, and they just got in 2 Avus Silver, one with carbon fiber interior. The very first one that they sold back in July-ish, they got $18,000 over sticker!! The guy bought it for his 29 year old nephew!!Sickening! They wouldn't budge sticker for mine and I told them good luck. When mine came in was right when most dealers started getting their "overstock", so I told them that I wasn't going to take the hit. We'll see how much they like still having them all(along with the rest of the country!)through the winter months.

http://www.ambientefurniture.com</a

1. See how badly they screw up the next generation A6. If the fishmouth grille appears, forget it. If not, the rumored 340+hp V8 might be a good upgrade. (Dealer-guy insists that design of the front-end look of the new A6 is still not final...and there's been alot of push-back from the dealers to Audi to avoid "fvcking ourselves like BMW did" with an unwise--and unnecessary-- design course-change.)
2. If next A6 is a styling disappointment (alas, I think odds of this remain high), take a good close look at the A8 (non-"L") due here in the spring. This would be a chance to get the bugs out of the first-year cars; a vehicle that doesn't have a rear door the size of a minivan's; and maybe a small horsepower "pop." And...a design that looks awfully good...and won't change much for the next several years owing to the aluminum body thing.
3. RS6...new @ about $75,000. Not interested in a used one. And my tastes run to no carbon fiber, no "silver" interior, Daytona gray only...so the odds of all this coming together are pretty slim.
Fortunately, I have the luxury of owning a terrific Audi now, so I am in no rush.
