I am attempting to gather some information about the tranny issues and the potential thereof, as he is thinking of the Oettinger turbo back exhaust and possibly the APR chip, but needless to say the tranny issues appear to be atleast something to look into.

He had the RS6 at the dealer for service, and complained of a few tranny things, but the dealer was unable to find them.

What issues have you been having (or not) and what have been the preceding signs, if any...

Or any other links? I realize this has been discussed here in a few threads, and I read through all 6 pages to see those threads. Just looking for as much info as possible. I will be heading over to rs6.com later to read that one too.

Thanks in advance.

See my post here (I'm JAXRS6 on the site below) and the tranny reference appears about 6 paragraphs down, beginning with BTW:<ul><li><a href="http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&amp;threadid=2872">http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&amp;threadid=2872</a</li></ul>

just as Bajors6 said...

when my MAF died (both times) it took the ESP with it. If they run the codes on the ABS controller (where ESP lies in the A4, and likely in the RS6 as it is a function of the bosch ABS controller) there may be an error in the "massive engine error" or something...

No firm conclusions yet, but check out the URL updates &amp; you'll see it's beginning to look like bad fuel was the cause -- and the consequences may continue a while longer. A post yesterday by Bauer is well worth seeing -- short &amp; very informative re situation similar to mine.
