View Full Version : My A6 4.2 is....WAY...more uncommon than an RS6...and I can PROVE IT...

Just returned from an early Saturday morning Christmas decoration run (timers, a halogen spotlight, a few pretty ribbons from Ace Hardware) and on this ONE TRIP I saw TWO RS6s on the road...a Daytona in Northfield (Illinois) and an Avus on Waukegan Road in Glenview. (Both cars beautiful and spotless... and going well below the limit.)

Are all RS6-ers "early risers" as well? Or is Hertz renting these cars with special weekend rates, like the old black-and-gold Shelby Mustangs?

I see one all the time on Ogden in Westmont, and one lurking in the Naperville area. Yeah and I still haven't seen an 04 S4 on the road yet (excluding gatherings). This is weird.

Since Hertz isn't owned by Ford no more, I have rented Camry's, Malibu's, Sebring's, Envoy's, etc. for work. Maybe if VW buys up Hertz we might be able to rent RS6's......

I see your non-sport pie-clad 4.2 everyplace I turn, and even more S6's...it's very weird...

Frankly, I'm happy never seeing the RS 6, I don't need that trouble. :P

and 2 new S4s (once in Black, and one in Imola yellow).
