The one I'm driving this week is pretty squeaky. But I think it was recently tracked so I'm not sure if they are all like this. I'm curious for some feedback.

So far so good, but then I only have 1600 miles on it...

But it's normal that if you use them brakes hard you hear a ticking sound.

The press car I drove had no problems except they changed brake pads very often.

He says when the brakes start to squeal you need to find a parking lot (empty of course) and do some fast, hard braking to eliminate the glazing...says that is what they do.

I think the people before me had it at the track.

Yes, my RS6 has squeaky brakes, especially after the car has been washed. After driving the car for a few miles, the squeak goes away. I have owned a number of high performance cars before and have never encountered this noise. I also own a '01 Porsche Twin Turbo and the brakes are very quiet. Other than the squeak and the very poorly made arm rest/cup holder, the RS6 is a wonderful driver.

Car had 6700 road miles on it and ocassionally a little squeak when lightly braking at a stop light. After 2 days in the driving school at Infineon the car has more squeak under slow braking coming to a stop. No noise with moderate braking.

Mine has a little squeak from the front passenger break, only just before I stop. It goes away after a while.
