Hey All,

I've now seen/heard various clips of an RS6 (wonderful sound), not sure if they have been sport or non sport. So, just wondering, does the sport exhaust make that much of a difference in sound? Anyone have any definitive clips of cars with sport exhaust vs cars without?

Have the sport exhaust and love it. Nice growl from the inside when giving it gas.

The RS6 is already at the limit.

You can't have more noise only in the cabin.
one of the US chip tuners claimed the sport exhaust gave an increase of 12hp on their dyno over the stock exhaust.

when my dealer first got a RS6 in. I would be inclined to agree with you from hearing it on the outside.

It's the inside difference I'm interested in hearing. Even some on the outside as someone is pulling away instead of just at idle.

I drove a "sport" (enhanced) exhaust in an RS6 that arrived before mine did -- twice. Then mine arrived, with standard exhaust, and I really didn't notice much difference. Sales manager at dealership listened & agreed, even saying "the option isn't worth the difference." He heard mine only from the outside; I heard both versions from inside and out.

As for claims of more hp with the option, I have no clue but felt no difference in performance.

I will hopefully be able to give a objective report soon. My RS 6 has the sport exhaust, and my friend has one with the standard exhaust. I have driven them both, but not side by side, and the sport did seem moderately louder. Both he and I are interested in a side by side comparison. Maybe this weekend.

I for one would like to know comparison results both inside & out, but whatever you come up with will be appreciated!
