View Full Version : ok, I want more ponies- who's reliable these days? ljackski 10-27-2003, 03:13 PM ljackski 10-27-2003, 03:17 PM I would also consider Euro OEM 19's rally 10-27-2003, 04:39 PM click the link for pictures on his RS6.

LM's on Avus RS6

rally 10-27-2003, 04:43 PM ABT and MTM have had plenty of time with the RS6 now. OCT, APR and a few more are providing software changes now. Too many choices for me. I'd probably go with the ABT setup since you can get their chip with the factory warranty intact in Europe. CarbonFibre 10-27-2003, 05:51 PM Although that comment was probably more for peace of mind's sake. Before doing anything to the car just wait for the T04 upgrade kit =^P ljackski 10-27-2003, 07:07 PM the boost comes on in a hurry with stock blowers, but the wastegate needs to stay shut and have the ECU advance timing and fuel cut-off.Exhaust is so minor at this point beacuse the gains are so minimal compared to the cost factor. ljackski 10-27-2003, 07:10 PM I like them, but not quite. I like the HRE's but not sure how wide I can go all the way around, as I am unsure how to tackle changing suspension settings with the DRC. ljackski 10-27-2003, 07:14 PM Just a little more..... My S6 Avant looked beefier. rally 10-27-2003, 08:30 PM J.Moss@TorqueFactory 10-27-2003, 08:31 PM jatwrite 10-27-2003, 09:14 PM I hate to sound dumb but what's a "T04 upgrade kit"? Is it for Europe only, too? Any idea why Europe is being given more factory support for performance upgrades? ljackski 10-27-2003, 09:20 PM ljackski 10-27-2003, 09:21 PM my 2ootq was easier to modify ljackski 10-27-2003, 09:22 PM hard to find...... Press release OETTINGER-RS6 4.2 Biturbo with 540 PS (397 kW) September 2003 OETTINGER in Friedrichsdorf now offer a further performance enhancement for the Audi RS6. For those who feel that the initial OETTINGER enhancement to 500 hp which has been on offer since the beginning of 2003 is not sufficient, a more potent alternative is now available from the team in Friedrichsdorf, 540 hp (397 kW) at 6000 rpm now make a statement which cannot be ignored. The additional 90 hp released from the V8 Biturbo by the OETTINGER upgrade, in a whiplashing surge which presents itself typical OETTINGER manner, across the whole rev range. A polished stainless steel exhaust system from the Turbocharger back is installed. The system comprises of two down pipes, with free flow sport catalysts, a middle and two rear silencers with 75mm diameter twin tailpipes either side. In addition to the greatly reduced exhaust back pressure due to the 70mm section pipes, modifications to the fuel injection system and inlet tract lay the basis for the increase in power and the vibrant sound from the forced induction eight cylinder engine. As is to be expected from the engineers in Friedrichsdorf, the recalibration of the engine management has been carefully developed during the course of extensive testing on the test bench and test track. The result is an optimal torque curve which now peaks at a brutal 730 Nm (538 lb/ft) at 3300 rpm and catapults the OETTINGER RS6 from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 sec, that is over half a second quicker then its standard cousins. The gearbox programming is also modified to match the new characteristics of the engine. If required, OETTINGER can also remove the speed limiter allowing the OETTINGER RS6 to reach a maximum speed of over 300 km/h (187 mph) depending on vehicle specification and the wheels and tyres fitted. The conversion including the removal of the speed limiter is available for EUR 10 500.00 incl. fitting at the OETTINGER workshop in Friedrichsdorf near Frankfurt in Germany. The visual appearance is further enhanced by the sporty and elegant 19 inch OETTINGER RZ wheels (from EUR 4 400.00 / set) which provide a tantalising view of the OETTINGER high performance brakes (EUR 4 500.00 incl. fitting). The brake kit consists of 380 mm (15 inch) perforated high performance discs at the front and perforated discs at the rear. Thus equipped, the almost 2 ton noble station wagon has the acceleration, performance and deceleration befitting a purebred sportscar. J.Moss@TorqueFactory 10-28-2003, 08:26 AM does not trigger any factory anti-tamper features. And that the new encryption is stable in the RS6 ecu. Would not want a regular customer to be a guinea pig. Superleggera III in 19'' or even 20''? They build it with a 20'' outer and enough room to clear the brakes. A customer form outside the US posted pictures on rs6.com of his 20'' package. They look amazing. CarbonFibre 10-28-2003, 05:46 PM I think the RS6 uses K03 turbos and the next logical step is K04s. T04 turbos are made by Garrett and they use them on high horsepower cars like in the kit below...

EVO Porsche Turbo stage 5

demon_s8 11-02-2003, 05:31 AM where can i get that back bumper. will it work on my s6? |
