What could cause a starter to fail 3 times so far this year? I have a lifetime warranty on a reman starter and this is the 3rd one this year. Are these engines that hard on starters or could there be something else in the mix?

keeps spinning after the engine is started. Then just burns out.

Make sure the key turns back to the "on" position after starting the car. Start the car and then listen in the engine bay pass side if the starter is still cranking.

Key turns back to on position after starting. The last one just spinned until I took off the positve battery terminal. Removed and replaced with remaned Bosch starter from Advance Auto Parts, worked just fine until last night with the same problem.

my switch failed 6 months ago, and until last weekend I have had to physically turn the key back once the car fired up.....I got a new switch, popped it in and now shes fine!
