and you turned it over, there is a good chance that you have bent your valves and possibly scored your pistons.

Yeah I turned it over. I was told it ran low on oil and locked up so before I snatched the old motor out i thought i'd see if it would turn over first. Now i will take it apart the motor may be salvageable.

A used 12 valve out of a junkyard should cost you no more than $500 max. Take apart the old one to see what kind of damage is done to it. You might also want to try running a compression test on the motor. But if any major work needs to be done to it, just replace it with a good junkyard unit.
My 2 cents.....

I Will take it apart and see what is up. I only paid 500.00 for the car cause the body and interior were in great shape. I already have a spare engine in my shop. I would rather rebuild than get a used one anyway since I do all my own work.I have taken apart some 12v's before along with some bmw 4/6 and some acura 4/6 and some jag 6's. I also do paint and body work along with stereo installs and all that stuff thanks for your advice qand you will be hearing from me

do a compression test to see what shape the motor is in before you toss it out.
