beings that i am in the process of building mine. i was unable to find any posts speculating hp gains associated with particular aspects of head modification, such as, lightened cams, ti components. a friend of mine is a harley mechanic. he told me that for every ounce they shed from the valve-train, they get 10hp. so, what kinda gains are we gettin outa a well built heads? i know there are many variables. i just wanted to know some approximates. im lookin at ti valves, they arent out of reach, however, i want to be able to justify the cost with a decent gain.

effect. Lighter valvetrain in comparison to rotational force. Larger valving to allow more air to flow into the head or out of the exhaust.

Plus each dyno is different, one dyno could show your car at 200 while another could show it at 215, or 195 etc.....

To somewhat answer your question, will you gain HP, YES. How much HP you'll gain will depend on many other variables. MAF sensor being bored, SXTB/XTB/RSXTB, Intake hosing, forced induction, Ram Air Setup, modified intake air box, fuel injectors, fuel pressure, Engine software (Hitatchi vs. stand alone), etc.........
