Due to my purchase of special shipping boxes for the PS Pulleys all Canadian purchasers that paid an extra $10 for "standard" Canadian shipping will get a refund for that $10. Turns out that 1st class shipping to Canada due to the lightweight nature of these pulleys after machining keeps them well below 12 ounces including the shipping box which is almost the same price as US shipping using priority mail. So basically everyone from Canada that ordered and paid for standard shipping will get a $10 Paypal refund from me. Those that ordered Global Express delivery to Canada are not affected by this and don't qualify for the refund.

I'll get these refunds out ASAP!

If you don't have your refund within a couple hours of this post feel free to contact me as there's almost 100 paypal transfers to sort thru to find the shipping addresses due to the bulk of orders having multiple transfers because of a payment and a refundable deposit. If I miss you just let me know and I'll get it handled immediately.

hit on exchange & paypal fees.

If folks were planning to buy from you again anyway, it'd work out good for all involved.
Though not sure if it'd be a logistic nightmare on your side.

Because I'm set up to take "no-fee" deposits w/Paypal I can do refunds for up to 60 days 100% "fee-&-exchange-rate-free."

And since it's "their" money and not mine I don't wanna force them to have to spend what is rightfully theirs on "my" products. I'd rather they have choice on where they wanna throw it than force someone at gunpoint, via a "VAP credit" to buy from me. VAP stuff comes "after" groceries, rent, baby food etc and NEVER before or instead of those things!

If they convert into US, then you give back they could loose during conversion back & forth. Also when they accept the payment back they could take a hit.

I wasn't saying force them to take a VAP credit, I was saying offer that also. If they know they're going to be purchasing more from you later, a credit would eliminate those hits. Just an option.
But ya, many folks could need that $$ back to buy groceries, rent, etc..

I've been issuing refunds for over 5 years to people for MAFs and throttle body core deposits etc and no one has ever lost a dime in the transaction either way. Paypal takes no fees associated with that refund whatsoever. When people send me "X-amount" as a deposit they receive the identical "X-amount" back. Paypal cannot legally assess a fee to any refund amount. A refund is not a "sales transaction" and therefore cannot be assessed any fees unless the "allowable term" for getting a refund has been exceeded. Same with credit card companies, ie; no credit card fees can be attached to any refund and/or those fees must be returned or credited to that account if fees were were charged and paid before a refund was issued.

If/when a refund is issued it cancels any/all fees associated with the transaction on the refund dollar amount. With Paypal "only" the seller of any item can ever be charged a fee. Never the buyer!

But to make REALLY sure I'm right on this I'll post the question to the forum in a new post asking if anyone that's ever Paypal'd me any money then later issued a refund for that money was charged for that refund by Paypal on "their" end when the money was refunded. This will make it easy to determine as there's no shortage of 12V people that have sent me deposits for MAF & TB cores that was later refunded.

Paypal.

I've gotten refunds on purchases due to part of the order not being able to be completed and lost $$ on the excahnge rate. Aggravated me the company hadn't offered a store credit since I was planning on buying more anyway from them in the future.
But their prompt customer service (like yours) was to refund the $$ to make the customer happy. Probably w/ no knowledge of the difference lost when I get back $$ onto my card (akin to when you buy/sell currency in a bank, but even less favorable w/ credit cards).
