View Full Version : Anyone know where I can buy QuikSteel? EDIGREG 03-10-2008, 04:52 PM Specifically, in amounts larger than 2oz per container? VAP 03-10-2008, 05:02 PM in any larger than 2oz individual containers. Probably because ya only get 5 minutes to work with it before it starts to get hot and cure and once that container is opened you just can't "stuff the genie back in the bottle." Even when kept in vacuum storage the unused balance is toast within a few days. Essentially meaning no matter how little ya use you're going to use 2ozs minimum, EVERY time! It's a shelf item at Checker Auto Parts and CarQuest, least in my area and probably many other FLAPS as well. It's what's on your new throttle body and available at Lowe's and Home Depot etc if only needing a few tubes. No better than QS as that relates to storing an open container for later use. I can't remember specifically but just looking at the IM I've done but haven't installed I can't imagine any more than 6ozs being required. TIA

This

VAP 03-10-2008, 06:46 PM and make sure no threads protrude past the threaded bore and into the manifold. Try to get as "flush" a bolt fit as possible to the ceiling in IM by using shorter/longer bolt and/or washer(s) EDIGREG 03-10-2008, 07:34 PM Having it at HD/Lowes makes it easier. ;] |
