They cost about twice as much...are they at all better really? Do they really pick up odors out of the air?

It's mating season for skunks, I guess. I wonder if that stench might ruin the carbon filter. It has ruined the normal paper filter in the past. :-\ Fuzzbeaner 05-07-2005, 06:21 PM moribundman 05-07-2005, 06:27 PM islingtonaudi 05-07-2005, 08:03 PM moribundman 05-07-2005, 09:16 PM On the A4, the filter is hidden under a black plastic shroud right under the windshield on the passenger side. The shroud needs to be removed for access. A6Gary 05-07-2005, 10:29 PM That's where the pollen air filter goes on the C4 A6. islingtonaudi 05-07-2005, 10:38 PM Jretal 05-09-2005, 05:07 AM turn the wipers on and then shut off the car when they're pointing straight up on the windshield. Then you can remove the cover and access the filter. Not sure if you can do it that way on the A6 though... might be worth a try ;) iirc on the A4 you gotta push the trim out of the way... it's been a few years since I've messed with mine ;) Jretal 05-09-2005, 05:08 AM |
