remove all that stuff that looks like a hampster jamboree from the inside of my airbox? There's a hose going from the heatshield on the exhaust manifold right into my airbox...... now I am new.... and inexperienced, but this seems dumb.

Why would I want to pump a bunch of hot air into the intake. The mod is called a COLD AIR INTAKE for a reason.............. right?

... that helps warm up intake air when ambient temps are low. Depending on your location, you may not need or want this feature.

Just figure out how hot air is routed in and how to disable the mechanism.

First thing I did to both my current cars. Neither one ever worked right, the engine was always being fed hot air, even on 100 degree days. I noticed no ill effects in cold weather, and a small increase in power in any weather.
