I purchased a used 93' 90 throttle body on ebay last week and was wondering what tools I will need to bore out the primary verturi. I have already thoroughly cleaned the throttle body to a mirror finish. Now, do I need a set of Craftsman grinding set like the link points to or do I use the flapper wheel things with the sand paper on them like many used for their IM porting? I would love to send the TB to Mance but this college tuition is expensive(commercial aviation, pilot lessons$$). If you guys could give me a detailed list of tools needed and basic procedure that would be great!;-)

You need to creat a larger opening for the air to pass through. By packing the outside of the TB with "quick steel" epoxy, you create walls thick enough to bore out. Search the Archives using

DIY throttle

you will get a good write-up from another user.

I plan to use a die-grinder with a standard 1/4" metal rasp set and then finish with flapper wheels. A dremel would also work. I can't stress how much I have learned from the forum archives and the posts that have come before. Tons of useful info........ and tips!
