Mostly stop and go, but some highway. NO accounting for those figures (I got 19 MPG 1,000 miles ago). How can I be sure it's my O2 sensors? Any test I can do?

If you change your o2's donâ€TMt skimp, do a tune up as well. Whatever wasnâ€TMt done recently; Oil change, fuel filter, plugs, wires, air filter, possibly coolant temp sensor if its in the budget and whatever else gets done with a tune up :) A lot of times a MPG lose like that is from bad o2's but it could be something else and because our o2's arenâ€TMt so cheap you really want to know if there bad. So when where the o2â€TMs changed last? If it was more then or around 60k I would replace them, if it was less then 30k I would run the codes and see what comes up. Fuzzbeaner 05-01-2005, 05:53 PM Ghostfire 05-01-2005, 06:16 PM Heres a link with detailed info on how to run your codes :) Best part is its free to run the codes your self all you need is a paper clip.<ul><li><a href="http://12v.org/maintenance/dtc.php">12v.org</a></li></ul> Fuzzbeaner 05-01-2005, 07:05 PM Ghostfire 05-01-2005, 07:16 PM Honestly it sounds like you have bad o2's if you run the codes it should tell you if the o2's are bad. Also you could possibly have a bad MAF sensor or T-stat. Its best to run the codes to find out. When you run them let me now what turns up and I will try and help pin point the problem. Internal fuse box yielded a similarly fruitless situation. What do I do now? I don‼sup>TMt want to fry my cats.
