I have been reading this forum for a while but i am a new member. A few monthes ago i purchased a '96 a4 2.8 w/ about 72,000 miles which i am very happy with. Now though, i am looking into doing some performance modifications. From my searching it seems that urs4 supplies most of whats avalible although i am not sure what some of the parts are/do. My problem is that i am some what new to car modification all together but would really like to start to learn. Any tips/advice/explinations of parts/starting points would be greatly appriciated.

Sorry for the long post

Thanks,
Matt

The fastest way to get th most air in to burn fuel..the more power you will make. Look at UrS4's products in that respect [how do they make it easier to get air in] and they will probably make more sense.

You'll have to find one from these boards or some other vendors who have (ahem!) copied Mance's products. That made a very "feelable" difference.

DigglerD is right... the motor is essentially an air pump. The restriction, it seems, is the intake tract and the torturous plumbing to get air to the throttle body. That said, you'll want to find a bored Mass Air Flow Meter next (make sure to use appropriate sized O-rings on the sampling tube and a velocity stack to reduce the chance of getting a Check Engine Light) After that, you'll want to look for a Stage 3 intake tube and recovery sleeve (if you can find one for sale.)

I would recommend the invisible supercharger, offered by murderdyne inc, but then again, I'm just a jackass.

As for the throttle body, MAF, etc. should i email urs4 or is there someplace else that sells things like this?

Thanks again

Matt
