Can anyone tell me how to put on a new cooling temp sensor because I do believe mine has gone bad. My 97 a4 2.8 wont start mainly because its not sparking. Thanks in advance

then reach down in there and take it off.. really easy other then the fact that its so tight down in there.

move some hoses out of the way, unhook the throttle body plenum and give yourself some room to get down there. Use a flashlight to locate the green or blue square top to the old sensor. There's a wire bracket around the top. Remove that and unscrew the sensor (if I recall it's only a half turn or so). Some coolant may spill out - that's okay. Install the new one in reverse order but remember to install a new rubber washer (get it at the dealer).

The hardest part for me was getting my big hands down there. In fact, I snapped my breather hose so you might want to consider removing that too (the black semi-rigid ribbed hose from the valve cover to the plenum (I think)). Good luck - let me know if you have any questions.
