Can anyone tell me how to put on a new cooling temp sensor because I do believe mine has gone bad. My 97 a4 2.8 wont start mainly because its not sparking. Thanks in advance

Use a flashlight to locate the green or blue square top to the old sensor. There's a wire bracket around the top. Remove that and unscrew the sensor (if I recall it's only a half turn or so). Some coolant may spill out - that's okay. Install the new one in reverse order but remember to install a new rubber washer (get it at the dealer). The hardest part for me was getting my big hands down there. In fact, I snapped my breather hose so you might want to consider removing that too (the black semi-rigid ribbed hose from the valve cover to the plenum (I think)).
