one broke in the bore which drilled out fine.

Just looking for two (or four) clean pins for my '92 100 FWD.

http://forums.audiworld.com/a6100/msgs/40814.phtml</a

piece of the float-pin to an old piece of shifting mechanism that was almost the same diameter... almost. It will do fine until I can get a real set of pins. I can't imagine what happened to the rear axle to make both bottom pins bent and VERY corroded. I took a pic, which I'll post sometime. The color is unbelievable... bright orange!

After doing all this crap, I polished everything up to an almost mirror finish with some wet/dry sand paper to prevent any build up like that, as well as put some grease in the bore and boot.

This 2-hour MAX job took about 6. This includes me walking around my garage going, "WhatamIgonnado, whatamIgonnado, whatamIgonnado..."

I say "less than" 'cause there was a ridge that prevented my digiper (digital caliper) from measuring the effective surface.

Then subtract the pennie's thickness from what you measure.
