I found a place that will do my Tbelt install for $200. Is this a good price? All I have to do is provide him the parts.

Serpentine Belt $ 18.59
Timing Belt Tensioner $ 30.93
Timing Belt $ 35.27
Water Pump $ 61.78
Thermostat; 87 Degree C $ 16.25
total = $162.82

from www.autohausaz.com

plus $200 for install = 362.82

Is that a good deal or should I save $200 and do it myself???

My quote was $1700.00 for all that. Plus you get to have someone else work on it! :-)

I charge $125 myself and people walk away thinking it's obviously some sort of scam...

The parts prices seem fair; they may run into trouble with the serp. belt tensioner if you haven't replaced it ever (078 903 133Q will be a good par number to know off the top of your head in that case). Might also consider the idle roller? Usually costs around the same as the tensioner pulley.

$200 labor is the cheapest I've ever seen a timing belt job for the V6; I've seen as low as $300 labor but usually closer to $500. But there's no good reason for that, especially on a 100 so if the shop does good work otherwise I say run with it!
