but the header fabricator was in and we chewed the fat a bit. He can't give me any pricing but did share that they are on their 5th header design since starting with the 2.8 12V and are happy with this one. He inquired how I was built and what mods I had. If I planned on using a higher lift cam etc. I told him I'd rather over-header the car slightly than under-size it and he thought maybe 1/8" smaller primaries than they were running would be fine. He has a header fixture engine (empty block/heads) bolted to an engine stand and he builds these on that engine. He said neither race car has had it's frame rails altered and went out to look at master cylinder and stock airbox and can't see any reason they wouldn't bolt to an otherwise stock car. He said I'd have to adapt the exhaust system from downpipes-back but I was anticipating that anyway.
So right now you know all I know. He took all my information and said he or someone from Stasis would contact me in a day or two. That they've never built these for anyone other than themselves but he was excited at the prospect. Soon as I know more info I'll pass it along. Don't wanna count any chickens before they hatch but the horizon is looking a little brighter than it was 6 hours ago.
