Just thought that I'd tell you what happened with that maxima. I disconnected the battery terminals from her old battery, and hooked it up directly to my car. Her car still wouldn't start. Just to be absolutely sure, I took her battery back to the place she got it and they charged it over night. I got it back yesterday and put it in her car. The thing started up right away with no struggling.
From this point I was sure that her alternator wad dead, so while the car was still running, I disconnected the a battery once again. Well, to my disbelief, the car still ran just fine. I even held out for amost 2 min before I reconnected the car battery to be sure. I have no idea what happened, but it's good to know that those damn little grimilins don't just attack my car.<ul><li><a href="http://forums.audiworld.com/12v/threads/3144.phtml#27467">old thread</a></li></ul>

unless your battery is just "OK" and her starter has really big energy demands or something. (just rambling, no idea)
