Buying a new one from Audi Parts Dept and want to make sure they don't send me home with the wrong one. Thanks.

I'm wondering if it's the same for both. Insight? TIA.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng47.shtml">1.8T temp sensor replacement</a></li></ul>

Just as I suspected, its that thing under the ICV. You'll probably have to remove the ICV to get to it, which isn't that hard. In fact, you have to unplug the ECT's electrical connector to get the ICV off.

You don't have to remove the ICV to change the ECT. Would probably make it a lot easier to do, but ya don't have to.

air/fuel mixture which can be quite wrong at times. Since I first threw a CEL for the ECT I've since throw them for too lean, misfires, etc. and I'm hoping it's all due to the ECT. Has anyone heard similar?

And why should I search? I'm not the one with the problem.
