I tried to swap sensors today (all the part numbers identical to ones you posted below), my original sensor 054 133 471A will not fit into newer style housing(mounting holes not aligned, sensor will not sit completely in the housing etc,.). What am I doing wrong? Like I understand it must be a direct swap.

from what I did and the few that I have seen(regular mafs) I don't understand why it doesn't lineup.
