Been working on this when I can for about 2 weeks. This is built to closely match the portable Rotofera cart. I need a dedicated work station that I can move around as many of my tools are far too valuable to sbject to grinding powder dust. This grinding station and the Rotofera are made to work together and can be rolled to a spot where grinding dust can't get all over my regular workbench or near the lathe or mill or my measuring tools.
This station houses all the cutting tools for the Rotofera, Foredom and the flex-shaft and Lithium Ion Dremels. There's also a Dremel engraving tool and LI charger stand tucked away in one of the bins in the rear. The covered case on the bottom shelf houses boxed (case quantities) flapper wheels, cross buffs and Kay Rolls in all grits.
I'm also working on machining an adjustable height, rotational clamping fixture that will bolt to the top and spin, pivot and rotate TB's and both halves of the intake manifold to hold them at the proper angle while I'm grinding. The quartz halogen light is on a 36" articulated arm so it can be moved around and the lense focused from pin-point to wide dispersion to help get light where I need it. Then I'll cut a 1/16" thick piece of urethane for the top to use as a liner to protect the butcher block top and provide a durable non-skid surface.
Still need to add a strip outlet to the rear top of this tomorrow so I can tidy up the "cord chaos" then mount a couple hangers for foot pedal speed control when stand isn't being used and to hang some frequently needed arbor wrenches and hand tools within easy reach.
