ok first off i have an 89 90q, but i figured u guys could help becuase you would know alot more about wiring ad stuff than me.

ok i redid the wiring in my trunk (they were cracked due to old age) and then my dash lights didnt work, so i figured i blew a fuse because they are on the same circut. however now my gauges dont work at all, as in i turn on the car and nothing, tach stays at zero as does every other gauge. could this still be because of a blown fuse?

What wiring were you working on? If all gauges are dead, chances are you either have no power, ground, or a fuse is blown.

it all the wiring that runs through the trunk. the wires run by the drivers side trunk hinge, so when u open/close the trunk the wires bend. over time wires get brittle and crack or break all toghether, so i spliced in a new section of wire, however when i went to test the lights i didnt have all the wires wraped (so some were prob touching). then i noticed my dash lights didnt work so i figured i blew a fuse. but now i noticed my gauges are not working at all and i was wondering if that could also be due to a blown fuse

so could this be why? thanx for the help
