Well my mechanic discovered that the car would fire the injector once and shut down. So he decided to double check the timing and bingo...she's was out one tooth. Holy!! Anyway he fixed it and she runs fine now. What I would like to know is how in the world it slipped a tooth? And is there anything I should check now? I had the belt replaced at 200k km now I'm at 230k km, should I be worried about it breaking?

Well thanks very much to everyone who helped. You guys truly are a great group!

It's pretty easy to set the tension too low or too high, especially since the tech article's specs on it vague. It just says "The ribbed belt must just be able to be twisted to 90 degrees with the thumb & index finger." If it's too tight, it'll make a whistling sound.
