Could some one please tell me where the wire for the ignition switch goes from the ignition switch? Where does it go after it leaves the switch? Where might I find it and what color it might be.

Also my injection feed is not constant. Does anyone know if the feed is supposed to consistently be 12 volts or does it vary? In my case it varies.

Again for those who might not know I have no spark and the injectors aren't working. My timing seems to be good as well as the cam and crank sensors. What to check next?

Thanks very much to all that have helped so far.

I don't know what else it could be. I'd say the ECU or coil packs, but if you've already tested the cam & crank sensors, then I assume you've done a diagnostic test already, & would thus reveal these things. However, it should've revealed the actual problem too.

Here's a recall to keep in mind though:

Recall 00V317000: Ignition Switch Defect

The plastic ignition switch housing can fracture at the return spring anchor point. Fracture of the housing could cause the return spring force to be insufficient for returning the ignition key to the running position after starting the engine.

This condition causes electrical accessories such as windshield wipers and headlights to become inoperative.

Dealers will replace the ignition switch.

Owner notification is expected to begin during October 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Audi at 1-800-822-2834. Also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Auto Safety Hotline at 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).

a while back. I'm not sure if my mechanic did a diag. test yet as he doesn't have the machine. (He doesn't do euro cars very often). I believe he pulled the sensors and tested them manually. He said that he's going to check the injector resistance because one might be bad throwing the rest off.... I'm not sure about this as he left it on my voice mail.

If you could think of anything else that would be great. I might just end up having to go to the dealer as I've visited so-called Audi "specialists" in my area in the past year and they all seem very shady.

Thanks again!

Yeah, I'm an Audi "specialist" in my town, because I'm one of only 4 Audi drivers here & the others are women. That does make me a specialist, doesn't it??? ;-p I'd take it to the dealer at this point & pay the $75 to run a diagnostic test. That's how I found out my cam sensor was toast, & before I had diagnostic software.
