what is a VS? i have a 99 2.8QT. how much would it be to install that and what are the gains?

VS = Velocity Stack (it smooths the air as it goes through the VS - think of the bell on a trumpet)

Here's a picture of it installed in my A4 12V airbox lid. Your 30v will be similar. Very worthwhile mod for the price and allows you to remove the restrictive MAF screen. Creates a noticable gain and its very easy to install yourself. Recommend the bored MAF, too.

A bored MAF lets more air pass through more smoothly.

Your MAF may be black and plastic. If it is, you'll need to find one like this at a salvage yard if you want to get the bored MAF (it's the MAF from the 96 and 97 12v A4's and others). Someone may have the correct part # to look for. I don't have it. Also, it's a direct swap with the plastic MAF. Email UrS4 for more details if you're interested.
