aight guys, i posted on the B5 A4 forum with only a few responses... any of u guys had a ride in the 30v with the stg3 MAF on it as well as the 12v with it? is there much of a difference between gains and if so, which is more responsive to the mod... i want to get it done, but that extra 50-100 for havin to find a compatible MAF sensor to send him is also a b*tch... thanks guys, any way to help would be great

I know he backs his products 100% If you're not happy with the improvement, he'll do his best to make it right. He mainly does the mods for us 12v guys as a friendly service, not to get rich off of. He's retired & would assume not selling anything rather than let it turn into a headache. I'm sure he'll chime in before long. Having conversed w/ him & reading all of his posts here, I'm quite sure you'll be happy with the results you get, especially when you weigh the money/performance ratio. If you can help the 12v, the 30v shouldn't be a problem. With the extra valves, you need the extra air anyway IMHO.
**Sorry if I put words into your mouth or misrepresented you, Mance.**
however, in the long run, if you keep modding, I have a sneaking suspicion that the two engines will end-up equal, because you can do more porting to the 12v than the 30v due to the 12v's older, less computer-aided design. Modern computer-aided designs leave little room for porting, because modern computers calculate the tolerances so exactly. The 12v has lots of extra metal designed into it by paranoid German engineers who wanted to "over-design" the engine. If you have any doubt, just look at the day and night difference between the 12v and 30v intake manifold.
I doubt that you can do as many mods with the 30v, but an airbox velocity stack, bored MAF, and "Stage 2 UrS4" silicone kit, will yield a very noticeable gain, likely greater than a VS, MAF, and Stage 3 silicone kit on a 12v. My wife noticed a Stage 2 silicone kit on her A6 30v yielded a noticeable gain.
I think Mance intends to try to do a Stage 3 kit for the 30v, just give him time. He is a busy retired guy. ;-)

and one more thing, are those other two things for the 30v as well?
