First the query, the prices quoted on the site are before the original parts are sent in?
I realize that these upgrades are more subjective than anything else so here are my questions for everyone else.
Does the car still feel more powerful a week after the install? a month?
Is the lag better or worse when hitting the gas hard? Below 20? Above 40?
Better gas mileage?
Would you spend the money again?
With all that said I absolutely love my A4. After having lived in SF for 7 years without a car getting the A4 has completely and totally rekindled my interest in driving. Although it will probably be the death of me (hit 130 three times already on very remote straight roads).
Mostly I am just looking for a bit more oomph from 30-50 where the car feels a bit sluggish sometimes.

with each mod differently. I first installed the VS and felt a little bit of pickup off the start, then added the S3 MAF and felt more pickup in the higher gears. I have yet to add the hose kit or S3 TB, but I'm sure, and have been told that those complete it and you will really feel the difference.
just my two cents

VS. You will notice a definate improvement with the MAF. First, I got the MAF and VS and installed them at the same time. Can't comment on them seperately. I noticed a huge improvement with the S3 TB. My car screamed to redline in 1st / 2nd gear compared to before. It also gave the car a nice "whistle" sound. It was definately worth the $450. Hope this helps.

We have the same colour so if you vouch for it then I'm good ;)
BTW the semi clear corner markers and side turn indicators looks great on our colour car, cost me about $50 total.

I wanted to paint the gry plastic trim surrounding my RS4 grill pearl white. Will have to wait till later though.
As far as the clear corners / turn signals go, I want to install 99-01 A4 headlights with the projectors. We'll have to see what happens though.
Ya, you can't go wrong with the VS, MAF, or TB.

Mance,
Now that I have had 4 days of driving on the
CAI & VS upgrades, here are my observations:
seems to have more power between shifts,
revs easier, and more power in the upper RPM ranges.
I have been surprised at how quickly the revs
increase between shifts. That is where I first
began to notice the difference.
The upper RPM ranges translates into more power
to pass cars when I am doing 40-60 MPH.
Thanks for the upgrades.
Keep working on more goodies.
Sincerely,
Roger
The previous milage just before installation
of UrS4's ported MAF plus Stage 2 Hose
Kit = 14.6 MPG.
The 962 miles since installation of the MAF
= 17.1 MPG. A 17% increase!
I had previously installed UrS4's CAI & VS.
Before all that, I had installed TDL's
bored TB.

mine was painted twice... once cuz I crushed the trunk lid (I was 15 and backed it outta the garage into our dodge ram... i know, dumbass move... ya live ya learn) and then again after the salting trucks at school chipped a lot of paint off the trunk lid...
first job was horrible... did a bad job masking, and blending the color... they left the under color (white) uncovered and speckled in spots. Very noticable in florescent lighting...
The second job is flawless! Can't even tell where they blended the stuff... it's amazing!
So it's all in the shop...

And how long does each one take? With a good garage and some mechanical know-how, can the average enthusiast bolt these babies on himself?

Audi touching her again. Must say my arm was pretty tired. Btw, been meaning to ask you. Looks like you have the projector lights in your A4. How did the install go? Did you get those from Valeo or off a newer junked A4?

our S6 is more of a pearl color, but so is the A6, yet is has more of a cream color, then there is another color. Cials. car is probaly the same as the S6 or the "third" one.

If only I could control painting procedures done prior to purchase I would be all set :-)

They are Valeo E-codes, and the install wasn't too bad.
Click my sig and I have some install pix. They took some of them off cuz they downsized my account, but it'll give you an idea of what I did.
Had to cut the fenders and wire in a new plug. There's also some sorta adaptor out there that will make it a direct plug and play without swapping any plugs or cutting any wires... but I don't know where to get it.
