Sometimes it's the beginning of the end of the switch. They are either 1) dirty, or 2) one of them is bent just slightly & making contact with either the wrong area, or more than one area. I just bent one of mine straight with some needle nose pliers, & voila! problem is fixed. They'll probably be dirty regrdless, so go ahead & clean them anyway. moribundman 01-04-2004, 07:30 PM moribundman 01-04-2004, 07:31 PM Am I the only one who skipped that option? ;-) JWG 01-04-2004, 09:17 PM Just kidding. I should have reserved that comment for someone from Daly City; I think that they have as many foggy days per year as we have sunny days in So. Cal.--like 360?!?!?! Take care! snowman '92 100 01-04-2004, 09:45 PM moribundman 01-04-2004, 10:41 PM I wanted the extra headroom you get without the sunroof. ;-) moribundman 01-04-2004, 10:42 PM 4g63T 01-05-2004, 01:46 AM fanta4 01-05-2004, 06:17 AM MM120 01-05-2004, 08:46 AM Just unscrew the entire light assembly, disconnect the wire harness, & flip it over. It'll be round. You'll have to pry off the round cover, but be careful as it breaks easily. Once you remove the cover, you'll see the contacts (I think there's 6 of them). Hope that's more specific for ya. If straightening/cleaning the metal contacts doesn't work, you'll need a new switch. |
