Looks good enough to me, but still would need to drive it!!!

Does it cost more than a new car?

Well we've done alot with the engine. So far we've redone the heads to have lower compression to better accomedate the flow of the supercharger and ported out the intake ports of the heads too around 20% better airflow. Then we had to replace the factory head bolts to performance head bolts. It only took one day before the stocks ones blew. The supercharger has actually been been ported a little to help with the airflow. As the result of the set up the torque range is longer then the original superchager setup. I spent with the kit and custom work and install under 10K.

I had a great deal because my car is the prototype. It runs like crazy. I haven't had the chance to take it to a dyno yet cuz i've been really busy and i just got the car back 2 weeks ago. I lost it for over 3 months. But the money and wait was worth it. Hopefully if we can get a new manifold made and make it will aluminum then we can probably market this kit. We still need to find a company who can tune ECM better. I rather get a stand alone but its too expensive. Right now we used cast iron for the manifold adapter which keeps a lot of bad heat in the engine compartment. Thats why i had to do the custom air box and heatshield wrap the fuel rail. We used adjustable fuel pressure regulator which is pushing 60psi of fuel. I'm still trying to figure out what my miles per gallon. Depending on the driving style, my gas range is from 230mpg to 260/270 ish. I yet have to experiment. I also use Octain booster every time i fill up my tank.

I was a skeptic also... but please understand that we've heard the phrase, "The supercharger is coming any day now..." and it turned out to be vaporware each and every time.

I'm glad you posted these pics! It looks like a very clean install. How is the idle quality? And does it rev smoothly throughout the powerband? Do you have any overheating issues?

well i dont' know why you think i got ripped off. the cost of the project isn't the issue. Do you know the difference between value, expensive, and does your car and passion mean to an enthusist? Sometimes someones hobby or passion can have a price tag... and its how much a person willing to invest and push into something he loves. So if you think i got ripped off then.. you aren't in my level of passion for this cars. So if you haven't got anything good or constructive to say then keep you comments to yourself. I'm tried of trying to keep punks happy. i'm not trying to show off to you guys but just sharing my wealth. If you guys can't accept that .. then its your problem. You guys long awaited the Supercharge 12v.. but wen its in front of you face you still won't accept it.... ignorance is bliss..

to tell you the truth its a small company from the eastcoast that went out of business a month ago. we started this project earlier this year and started to work on it 3 months ago. we can't even get the settings or any info. it works but we have no clue wat the map is. so we're stuck in having to find a company that can find the settigs, copy it, and use it. thats the other problem that we have to figure out before we can market this kit. we can get the supercharger no problem, but we still need to find a way to have and make a cost efficient manifold adapter, TB adaptor, can ECM reprogramming. IT was too much for my small shop to handle in mass production. Thats why this is a prototype. Hopefully we can have this kit in a year or so. but we just don't know. i want to help you guys in getting this kit... so all i'm asking is for support from this forum instead of hammering critizism.

I must say that being called a punk is one label that I rarely hear...and never from anybody who actually knows me. I don't mean this to be rude, but I kind of am having a hard time understanding what the heck you typed, but I'll try to answer what you said a little bit anyway.
So because I didn't spend "$5000" or whatever you said it costs then that means that I don't love my car and am not dedicated?? So because I have a passion for putting myself through school, joining the National Guard, and too much more to list in order to be able to provide for my wife when I get married next year....I don't have a passion for my car?
Also, if all you want to do is post here to get pats on the back and have people blindly toss out congratulations....then where does anything constructive fit in there??? I'm sorry that I'm a poor college student, unable to live up to your great "passion" for Audis....but I'm doing the best I can. Call me ignorant in this as well, but I still think you got ripped off on the camera...the definition on those pictures is terrible for a $300 camera. What kind is it?
I don't want a quarrel but don't start yelling out names. If you think I'm a punk then you'd better have some proof. Good luck with your car.
Matt

Okay you got me wrong. It's not how much i spent but how much work and dedication we did. You can't judge anyone on their passion based on how much they spent. All i'm saying is that we worked our asses off in this project. I too am a college student. All i'm saying is that here is supercharged12v thats been long awaited in this forum and now i have it and i wanted to show you guys that it CAN be done. II'm trying to represent 12vs and i didn't mean this to be a showoff thing but more of a rare unique thing.

you have no idea on how many 3 to 5am night jobs i had to do with this car. i spent more time with this car then with anything. If i'm not in school, work, or with gf.. i'm doing something to my car. thats my dedication to my passion. i spend more time in my garage then in my own apartment. i practically sleep there hahahah.

The image isn't as good cuz i had to reduce image size. if i put it directly from the camara then each image is at least 1.8 meg. by reducing the image size the resolution reduced too. common knowledge dude.

*left side engine bay shot
*right side engine bay shot
*Zoomed shot on where the supercharger connects with the engine
*Pulleys

If pictures are big then that would eb enough(Like you said 1.8MB's each, then they are in ~2000X2000s resolutions, which is pretty good for a 300$ camera, I got mine used for $300 and highest I can go is 1600X1200)

Not sure my shop did it for me. One of the guys there knew a guy the did ECMs. But he doesn't even have a business or something. We haven't heard from him since we heard that he went out of business actually. thats why we are stuck. we don't even know what program we're using. I'll ask my shop tomorrow for the dudes or company's name.

i know... dats why we don't know either. i'm trying to save up some money and take it down to Matrix Engineering down at Portland. I've talked with them... but its hella cheese to test... so i have to wait a grip before i start messing with my mysterious ECM. hehe but as soon as i do.. i'll let you know.. the ecm still had issues wen i first ran the car.. i had to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to feed the hungry SC ... we're pusing 60psi of fuel right now..

actually its underneath the TB.. i had no room to mount it anywhere else.. now if i had problems with the plug wires.. all i have to do is disconnect the air ducted connected to the TB.. not too hard to do.. just pain in the ass

here you can see that the coil pack is in the same area as the EGR valve.. if you knew where that is.. then you can recognize that its under the TB set up...

Very nice A4. I have a 1997 A6 Quattro Wagon w/ 2.8 AFC 12v.

How did you come about and successfully supercharge your ride? I keep reading Audi 2.8L 12v's do not easily lend themselves to forced induction.

Did you purchase a ready engineered kit or put the system together yourself with components?

Best regards,
Ron
