wnaudi12v 10-13-2003, 10:17 PM hahaha well supercharger was custom by my shop and won't be out for a while if that (needs hella funding).. need to find someone who can do the aluminum manifold setup.. right now its cast iron(alot of heat).. but within a year have a supercharger package may be ready... the lower lip is not only a lip but it actually replaces the plastic under engine cover.. so its a aircraft alum. made by me and the wing was just a touring wing i picked up in a local auto shop.
wnaudi12v 10-13-2003, 10:21 PM yup... aircraft aluminum... hella hard to bend and cut... plus a lil brush look to the piece.. still need to clear coat

bigalk (back in UK) 10-13-2003, 11:24 PM I'm sure we'd all like some more engine bay shots first though.
wnaudi12v 10-14-2003, 12:13 AM I'm sorry. The plate i used was my buddy's euro plate. i used it for the VW Octo car show in Puyallup, Wa last sunday. I'm not in Germany but Washington State, USA
TheFez 10-14-2003, 12:27 AM Stealthy. Except for the monstrous HAI, it looks like the OEM setup, right down the the plenum-shaped SC. Who'd ever suspect?
If you wouldn't mind, I could use some help in interpreting the info in your table. You use a bold, capital X to indicate that a notable feature is present, correct? e.g.:
Engine: X (always useful!)
What do the light, capital X and small-case x indicate? Are these OE parts, planned upgrades, etc.? TIA.
wnaudi12v 10-14-2003, 12:38 AM Yup the X's are my current mods... i'm trying to get some more pictures of the engine bay. my friend who has the pics in his digi cam didn't give it to me yet. He lives 40 miles away and we haven't the time. I'll post it as soon as he sends it.

wnaudi12v 10-14-2003, 01:16 AM Okay probably in 3 weeks after i come back from Ellensburg. Probably the first week of November. Hows that sound. I live in Renton, Washington. I'll let you guys know when i'm not busy.

but they are f'king with you for the most part. I'd like to think that you knew that. Most stems from doubting your claims. Some of it is because they don't like what you've done to your car.

wnaudi12v 10-14-2003, 02:02 AM NOT A CLOSER PIC.. NOT EVEN THE SAME CAR. For one, this may sit on the supercharger but.. where is the air ducted going to the TB and why isn't the vacuum hoses connect... plus your coil pack can't sit that far..you won't be able to reach all spark plugs.. wat about the primary belt? and wow the power stearing pump isn't even connnected?? i don't think this one even works? is it yours?
the install. It wasn't finished, don't know if it ever was.
wnaudi12v 10-14-2003, 02:12 AM It doesn't matter. This car is my project car. Other people like to go all engine power and others like force induction. I wanted something unique. Its hard to find a Audi A4 12v 2.8q 1997 that is supercharged. I know i have one. I use it every day to go to school, which i actually lost close to 70mpg (semi aggressive driving). My shop and i done alot to this car. Proud of it. People is either going to appreciate the time and love this car gets or hate it for the insane mods i've done with a luxary sedan. Either way i have both worlds, Comfort/Style but still feeds my power addictions.
TheFez 10-14-2003, 02:12 AM It's a pretty cheap calculator, though.
And you DID say approximate.
wnaudi12v 10-14-2003, 02:15 AM Yea it is approx. I still need to get it to a dyno (no time) but its safe to say cuz.. hmm "curping all four tires on dry pavement" .. sometimes it makes you wonder don't you think?
But they are allowed to think it and post it.
wnaudi12v 10-14-2003, 02:35 AM actually its not just a lip. it goes all the way till the mid part of the front wheels. i basically cut it to the outline of the OEM under belly engine cover. so now i have a lip splitter and a skid pad all in one. a basic Nissan R-34 Skyline design. :) making it was the hard part (need a metal breaker bar). Finding it was easy. go to a aircraft surplus store and buy a sheet of aircraft aluminum. Fortunately i live in washington where we found it at Boeing Surplus.
Hokie - STI avant 10-14-2003, 07:18 AM So many before you have come along and pulled this same crap. "I have a SC on my 12V, hurray for me...here are some pics of it".
And what do we get? We get pics of a wing and clear corners. A few times we have gotten really crappy fuzzy pics of a SC sitting on engine.
This post sucks and has put me in a bad mood already today.
Mike
Hokie - STI avant 10-14-2003, 07:28 AM If you actually do have a SC. Great! Finally someone has made one...
But you have to understand most of us have been jerked around for years with promises of a 12V SC and are quite sick of it.
To recap... if you actually have it: I'm sorry for the outburst.
If you are screwing with us: I hate you.
Mike

audidood 10-14-2003, 11:03 AM and how long to do the conversion? if it's reasonable, it might be a nice new direction to take on 12v modification...
UrSoccer_mobile® 10-14-2003, 11:11 AM this SC is still in the works. They are still trying to cutomize some things to get it to fit to the manifolds. But they are working on it and I guess it will happen. The price is going to be steep though and not quite relevant at this point.
okay Hokie take a deep breath.

Bryans12v 10-14-2003, 12:07 PM Is he claiming 300hp?
We have all see this before and this type isnt new to us.
The only SC kit I will ever believe in would be produced by PES.
UrSoccer_mobile® 10-14-2003, 12:10 PM I can't answer..I just talked to the shop that are doing this and I guess the one on the pic is a protoype..that's pretty much all I know..
Besides, even if that thing is in full production, I still wouldn't be able to afford it. :(
