View Full Version : Hey UrS4 - have you run into any 30v guys with a 471E MAF part number yet?

I was pretty psyched when I saw Blake's review, then I went to doublecheck my part number...and to my surprise I found a 471E sitting there. I'm guessing the Hitachi part number is AFH70-80D.

For reference, my car is a 2001.

It looks like this has been adressed earlier this month, but I still dont know if URS4 has been able to get his hands on an "e" version yet.

Previous 471E MAF discussion

to test for voltage outputs, dimensional sizes and code-free operation.

I have no idea that the 471E MAF wont work or isn't suitable for conversion to the 471A or further, that it is, in and of itself, not suitable for modification. I've yet to lay my hands on one to investigate and the buy-in is too steep to risk due to the "no return on electical parts" policy.

But I have my feelers out and first time one is in for service, trade, sale or tuning at Champagne Motorsports you can bet I'll drop everything and make a run over there to pour over it.

Or if anyone is in Denver and willing to donate their car for about an hour physical inspection for measuring voltage outputs and physical dimensions it would go a long way to towards putting the subject to bed.

I've got a strong suspicion "something" can be done to improve it's flow. And it may be as simple or even simpler than the 471C unit proved to be. But I've got to see my first one before I can turn the first tool in bringing it to fruition.
