Milltek makes a catback for the 2.8 30v (as listed on Stratmosphere's website). I was wondering if it will bolt up to a 12v. Any thoughts?

View Full Version : I thought that the cat back exhaust was the same on a A4 12v and 30v. Is it? They offer a full exhaust from manifolds back and the price was good. The full exhaust has to be ordered from Brullen itself. Mr.D-'97 A4q 12v 04-14-2003, 07:51 AM I have considered the Brullen especially since they have the manifold back with high flow cats section. However, I think it will be a bit too loud for me. I would like to hear it in person, though. VAP 04-14-2003, 08:13 AM and when I get past intake and into exhaust it was going to be the first place I looked. But I was hoping for a downpipe-back system again with cats this time. I may have to try their U.K. site for that and perhaps even special order it. But I know it can be done as a friend of mine in Paignton-Devon England has one on his 2.8 12V but he has access to an "authorized" Milltek service center somewhere over there... someplace called "Mustang" or a likeness thereof. That's on my list to discuss with him next time we talk. They also pay a lot less even with exchange rate, VAT & shipping than we do over here. VAP 04-14-2003, 08:25 AM Is that cats in the pic or just small resonators? Whats the diameter of the downpipes and the muffler inlet pipe? And is/are muffler tip(s) single, dual, diameter and shape? Stainless or mild steel? Sorry for so many questions Thanks Mr.D-'97 A4q 12v 04-14-2003, 08:28 AM customing the rest with highflow cats (and maybe TDL's uneven length headers).

Milltek UK

Dead 04-14-2003, 08:44 AM

Dual, round, stainless(can't say what the inards are.)This is a picture of the standard set-up like you would get from LL-TEK. If you buy the DPs and cats from Brullen it come with a different Y pipe. Dead 04-14-2003, 08:49 AM A different resonator could be added and probably still be well under the Millteks cost(under even with the DPs and cats.) You will have to call and order it from Brullen direct and they will give you a price in Canadian dollars.AFAIK not many people have the complete set-up. I was the third person with it.The cat-back come painted black but the DPs and such did not. I painted it all .I don't like seeing the exhaust under the car and the black makes it blend better. |
