I am running all stock insides but a K&N filter outside. and of course the 2nd alternator but thats negative hp :) I want to get the TB and manifold but just want to get some reviews from owners who did this. I am adding a Zex N20 kit this weekend for some added kicks but would like to have some power without it as well.
I also replaced the stock cooling fans with a pro form 16inch 2200cfm fan which saved me 15 amps and keeps the engine really cool.
Be patient for just a week longer and there will be an "after" dyno run that will address the throttle body question and the MAF horn inlet gains specifically and finally, with some measure of accurate and empirical evidenciary supporting data.
To my knowledge a before/after dyno run has NEVER been done on any 2.8 12V throttle body on this or any other forum. Numbers have been tossed out, conjectured, theorized, fantasized and argued for years. It is certain to dispell a LOT of mis and disinformation that has gone before.
The "before" run of this car is posted here a little further down on this page and the owner will be completeing the "after" results very shortly.
And I also hear that this person is considering a ported/polished intake manifold as well and maybe we'll have that question settled a little further down the road as well. But that one remains "guesstimate" at least for now.
Promises to be a very interesting spring/early summer 'round these parts!

i replaced my stock cats with high flow universals from discountconverter.com, i would think that would be a bit of increased flow over the stock ones.
to that end will certainly enhance any modification upstream/downstream of that point. It's a system rather than an individual component. The beauty of the soon-to-follow dyno results is it's a stock car with a K&N panel filter in a stock airbox with no other changes to be introduced between dyno runs. Cars that are further modded would show a proportionately greater benefit. This way there's no contaminating tweaks that will influence/affect individual mods with subsequent dyno pulls.
This one is being done right and my hats off to this man. Something like this has been a long time coming. Far too long in my opinion.
