Accelerating 0-50 on PCH (no high speed or dangerous stuff, just the sprint of anxious homeward bound commuters trying to get ahead of each other from a stop-light before the lanes merged), I surprisingly took out a 180hp stock Audi TT (did you know they weigh almost as much as our A4's--only 474 lbs less) and Volvo 850 Turbo (definitely auto tranny) this week, but a Dodge 2500 with a 5.9l Hemi engine beat me by a nose today. Not bad considering that he has more than twice the engine; but I remained very close because he also pulls approx. 2000+ lbs more weight.

I have got to improve my take-offs, but I am fairly conservative with my clutch--146,000 miles on the same clutch and still grabbing pretty well.

Oh well, at least I do not feel slow, I can give almost anyone out there a good run.

He made lot of noise and never got going. Geo Metros fear me, too. ;-)

Seriously, on a twisted road I'm rarely being tailed for more than 15 seconds.

Both the 1.8T & 12V/30V version A4's! ;O)

You probably can kill quite a few A4's with those mods, especially the stock ones and mildly modded 1.8t's.

to pull away 2 cars, hold it until mid 3rd and shut down since I'm over 10 mph above the 50mph limit. I know he starts to gain at upper rpms, but since I kept shutting down, he never had the chance to find ot hehe. Funny he kept trying. A Grand Am finally decided to join in on this 4 lane highway. After I beat them both and shut down, they just kept going at it. Grand Am couldn't catch the MR-S but the MR-S eventually slowed down to go next to me waiting for the 6th opportunity. I just waved and turned away to my destination hehe.
