All of a sudden today the airbag light came on (1999 A4 1.8T).
I tried to VAG it, but the tool is unable to connect to the airbag controller after multiple attempts.
A few years ago, I had the airbag light come on, and it was determined that it was a faulty plug under the drivers seat by the Audi dealer.
Anyway around the error in connecting to the controller so I can determine what the issue is?

I can connect to all of the B5 A4 (1999 1.8T) controllers except for the ABS (which is already a known problem) and now the AirBag controller. All others seem to connect just fine and show no faults.
Could this mean that the AirBag controller is dead?
