I was wondering how much is possible on the new A6 using VAG-COM. - I have used it for a lot of fun features on my old A6, and on my A4, but it seems like all the fun has been integrated into the MMI now.

I'm thinking the voice recognition might be something that just needs to be enabled with the VAG-COM ?! - The car is equipped with the voice recognition button in the steering wheel and the microphone is there being used by the phone. My theori is that with all the hardware in place, it can just be a question of having the right software in the car for this specific feature!

I don't know if there's any other cool features that is hidden somewhere in the system that you can acccess and enable using the VAG-COM.

Any ideas ?

The bentley CD is not out yet for this car, so I have no ides what to use the VAG-COM for on my new car.

Uwe: Have you had any experience with the car yet ?

* The original HEX-COM, introduced late in 2002, which does not have any CAN capabilities.

* The new HEX-COM+CAN, introduced spring of 2004, which is a "superset" of the original HEX-COM and supports CAN.

I haven't played with a new A6 personally, but these cars have been available in Europe since the spring, and customers there report that VAG-COM works great.
