Has anyone else tried this? Anyone succeeded?

I downloaded <a href="http://www.qcontinuum.org/obdgauge/">OBD Gauge</a> which seems to be a convenient data logger, but not sure if the HEX-COM will work in a plain "ISO" mode.

looking at that website, it is unclear to whether the software in question can use a "dumb pass-through" interface. The ELM and Multiplex interfaces the author recommends both have low-level OBD-II protocol routines in the interface. Best to ask the author if his software will work with a dumb pass-through interface.

When trying to configure his software it lets me select "ISO" mode, but wants a baud rate and "address" to use. I'll have to ask him what the address should be, though I don't know if that's something specific to our cars or not.
